Argentine Forward joins French Club
Inter Milan have confirmed the sell of Argentine striker Mauro Icardi to Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain.
The 27-year-old had endured a high-profile fallout with authorities at the San Siro, which led to an exit to join PSG on loan last summer.
However, with that deal due to come to a close, his services were being linked with a host of clubs across Europe, with Chelsea and Arsenal among them.
However, a deal – thought to be in the region of £45m has now been confirmed with the French club to take the former Inter Milan forward and club captain to Paris permanently.
Icardi has scored 20 goals in 31 matches during his loan spell with Paris Saint-Germain this season prior to it’s cancellation due to the coronavirus crisis.
During his six-year(2013 – 2019) stay at San Siro, icardi scored 124 goals in 219 games. He is the club’s eighth highest goalscorer of all-time.
