Draxler Denies Link With Leeds United
German midfielder Julian Draxler has no intention of leaving Paris St-Germain this summer despite receiving an offer to join Leeds United.
The 26-year-old has entered the final year of his current PSG contract, plunging his future with the French champions into doubt.
Reports suggest club sporting director Leonardo is keen to cash in on the the former Schalke 04 midfielder while he still can this summer, as he will be eligible to negotiate a free move abroad at the turn of the year.
According to sportsfold.com, Leeds are looking to take advantage of Draxler’s transfer situation and have been in touch with the player in a bid to lure him to Elland Road.
The Whites have been bolstering Marcelo Bielsa’s squad ahead of their long-awaited Premier League return this weekend, with reigning champions Liverpool to come at Anfield on Saturday.
They have already racked up a summer transfer bill of £62million on Rodrigo, Helder Costa, Robin Koch and Illan Meslier.
However, Draxler is understood to have rebuffed their interest and set his sights on remaining a PSG player.
