Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho reached his sixth major domestic final in England (two FA Cup, four League Cup), winning each of his previous five.

The Red Devils reached their 29th major domestic cup final, more than any other side in English football.

Tottenham Hotspur became the first team in FA Cup history to lose eight semi-finals in a row. They last time they reached the final of the competition was in 1990/91 season when they beat Arsenal 3-1 on the road to winning their 8th FA Cup title.

On This Day In 2018, Manchester United beat Tottenham Hotspur 2-1 in the semi-final of the FA Cup. Alexis Sánchez and Ander Herrera helped to cancel out Bamidele Alli’s opener for Spurs. United lost 1-0 to eventual champions Chelsea in the final.
