Juan Mata

Born in Burgos, Spain, he played for Real Oviedo youth academy between 1998 to 2003 before joining Real Madrid youth academy where he spent three years. He spent one year with the club’s reserve team before finally making his professional debut for Valencia in 2007. At Valencia, he scored 46 goals in 174 games(2007-2011), also winning the 2007/2008 Copa del Rey.

He moved to England where spent three years with Chelsea(2011-2014). During his time the Blues, he won three trophies(including the 2011/2012 UCL), also netting 33 goals in 135 games.

Since joining Manchester United in 2014, the attacking midfielder has scored 48 goals in 249 games, also winning four trophies.

He represented Spain at various youth levels and was a member of La Rojita squad that won the 2011 UEFA European U-21 Championship. He was also a member of the Spain squad that won the 2010 FIFA World Cup and the 2012 European Championship. He has also scored 10 goals in 41 caps.

Juan Manuel Mata García is 33 today.
