MUSTAPHA DAHLEB: The North African Colossus in France
On This Day In 1986, 34-year-old Algerian midfielder Mustapha Dahleb played his last match in the French Ligue 1 for OGC Nice. Dahleb spent a better part of his entire club career playing in the French Ligue 1 for the likes of Sedan(32 games, 17 goals), Paris Saint-Germain(310 games, 98 goals) and OGC Nice(21 games, 4 goals). Before Edinson Cavani (138 goals) and Zlatan Ibrahimovic (113 goals), he was Paris Saint-Germain’s all-time leading goalscorer in the French Ligue 1. Dahleb is now the third highest goalscorer for Paris Saint-Germain in the French Ligue 1(85 goals) and fifth all-time highest goalscorer in all competitions(98 goals).
