PREMIER LEAGUE LEGEND: Remembering Leslie Ferdinand


On This Day In 1993, 26-year-old Leslie Ferdinand scored a hat-trick as Queens Park Rangers beat Everton 5-3 at Goodison Park. This was his second hat-trick in three days, making him the first player to score a hat-trick in back-to-back Premier League games. In all, he scored five Premier League hat-tricks with his last coming on 25 November 2000 for Tottenham Hotspur. Ferdinand is the eighth highest scorer in the Premier League history with 149 goals and he contributed a further 49 assists in the division.
