Ronaldinho and his brother was granted house arrest by Judge Amarilla after paying a joint bond of $ 1,600,000 , during the review of measures at the Palace of Justice, in the case of use of false documents the one they are charged with.

The criminal guarantees judge indicated that the measure will be carried out in a hotel in Asunción and with police surveillance, and within the prohibition on leaving the country . The bond ($ 800,000 each) was deposited in the state-owned National Development Bank and remains as guarantee for the duration of the process.

Ronaldinho and his brother are staying at the four and a half starHotel Palmaroga and owned by the Spanish group Barcelona. They each have a room in that hotel, where they will be subjected to police custody and prohibited from leaving Paraguay.“Thank you all for the love and prayers .  Ronaldinho spent his 40th birthday behind bars ,playing futsal and fut-volley with the rest of the prisoners . A few days ago, it came to light as the former Barcelona player participated in a fut-volley tournament (a sport he has always practiced during his holidays as he always showed in the videos he posted on his social networks) but ended up falling before two expolicías : the duo formed by Yoni David Mereles Martínez and Edgar Ramón Otazú.

These are two former police officers who are serving sentences for homicide and robbery . Edgar, 36, was sentenced to 18 years in prison for a murder on May 15, 2010, while Yoni was sentenced to 10 years in prison for his involvement in the robbery of a financial company.

Ronaldinho and Roberto Assis Moreira, who is also his business advisor, were held in the Specialized Association , a headquarters of the National Police, in Asunción, which also functions as a prison. Both served a month of preventive detention on Monday after being charged with entering with false passports at the international airport in the Paraguayan capital.
