The EPL Approves Contract Extension Beyond 30th Of June.

The EPL reached an agreement on Thursday  with its stakeholders ,to nullify the usual end to Contract from July 30 to when the season ends ,owing to the effect of break caused by the coronavirus pandemic .

Amid talks to resume activity, the issue of the deadline of many contracts worried clubs and players, as English football still has no return date. After two months of hiatus, the Premier issued a statement on the unanimous agreement to extend the contracts next to the season.

During the meeting last Monday, where they returned to the project of retaking the league, they celebrated the first steps taken by the authorities to allow soccer behind closed doors as from June 1. “The clubs were concerned about the deadline for player contracts,” says the Epl.

“In this way, it has been agreed by all the shareholders of the clubs and players that they will be able to extend the contracts beyond June 30 and until the end of the season,” he points out, an “agreement that must be mutual,” adds the Premier president Richard Masters,and they have until June 23 to sign.
