The Premier League does not know when and how football will return
The Premier League, along with the English soccer federation, has assured this Wednesday that there is “no quick answer” to when English soccer will return due to the coronavirus pandemic.
In a statement issued jointly by the Premier, the FA, the EFL and the footballers’ association, these institutions have explained that they are committed to bringing football back, but only when it is safe to do so.
“We are all committed to playing again, but only when it is safe to do so. With all this uncertainty, we understand that fans will have many questions about the season and their teams, but there are no quick answers to how and when it will return to what it used to be. our normal football, “said these organizations in a note.
As stated in the statement, clubs and fans “play a vital role” in supporting the government’s recommendations.
“Stay home, protect the NHS (public health service) and save lives.”
The Premier League was suspended a few weeks ago when Spanish Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta jumped positive for the coronavirus. It is currently canceled until April 30, although a return for that date seems practically unfeasible.
