Thiago: Born in San Pietro, Vernotico, Italy to Brazilian parents(his father, Mazinho was a World Cup winner with Brazil in 1994), he started his football career with Flamengo in 1995 and, at the age of five, he moved to Spain with his father, and started playing with Galician team Ureca in Nigrán. He returned to Flamengo in 2001 where he spent four years before joining FC Barcelona youth academy in 2005.
Thiago made his professional debut for the Catalans in May 2009, going on to score 11 goals in 101 games. He won eight trophies with Barcelona, which include the 2010/2011 UEFA Champions League title.
Since joining Bayern Munich in July 2013, he has scored 31 goals in 227 games, winning 13 trophies as well.
At the international scene, the midfielder has represented Spain at various youth levels and was captain of the Spain youth team that won the 2013 UEFA European U-21 Championship, with him netting a hat-trick in a 4-2 win over Italy in the final. Thiago has scored twice in 35 caps for the Spain senior national team.
His younger brother, Rafinha, plays for Celta Vigo(on loan from FC Barcelona) and the Brazilian national team
