On This Day In 2017, Kylian Mbappé Lottin(18 years, 113 days) scored twice as AS Monaco edged Borussia Dortmund 3-2 in a UEFA Champions League quarter-final first-leg match played at Signal Iduna Park. This made Mbappé the youngest player to score a brace in a Champions League knockout game. He became the fifth player to score in his first three Champions League knockout stage appearances after Christian Karembeu, Steffen Effenburg, Luis Garcia and Leroy Sane. The French international also became the second youngest player to score in the quarter-final of the Champions League, after Bojan Krkić Pérez for FC Barcelona in 2008 (17 years & 7 months).
